Ok, meanwhile I got the answer myself. It is a feature from INTEL for power saving. If the cpu is idle it turns down the frequency. I just disabled the feature via BIOS and it shows now the specified frequency.

Now there is the next issue:

Hi I can't get it to run. I double click the CPUID icon, it runs for a few seconds and then reports an error. I have zonealarm and I allow CPUID to access the internet when it asks. tried now 3 times without success. comments?

This version looks great. However, the voltage reading for my cpu doesn't work. It always reports 1.3v, where as I have 1.45v set in my bios.

can you update the rog version that it shows TDP as normal CPUZ 1.57 version?

Nice skin, neat to see vendors picking up CPUID and customizing it as a utility for their products. However, voltage is not reported (greyed out) on 1.57 of CPU-Z... this is true whether it is 1.57 of the ROG skinned version or 1.57 of the general releas

Yes you can validate with this version. Follow the bouncing ball and you will get it done. If you need confirmation look up 1656204. Worked perfectly fine imho. The only change to the program was the skin.
